MEN' S CHOIR: It is the most prestigious men's choir in the Basque Country. Its career began by taking part in important international contests such as Llangolem (Great Britain), Lille (France) and twice in Arezzo (Italy), being awarded the first prize in all of them. Thanks to this initial success, it has been given several awards so far.

It has been invited to theatres all over the world: Teatro Real in Madrid, Herkulessaal im Munich Pleyel in Paris, Palais Royal in Mónaco, Théâtre Royal in Brussels,, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Palacio Bellas Artes in México, Bartlesville’s Auditorium (USA), Berlin’s Philharmonie etc.

The choir has worked with these orchestras: España´s national, French’s national, London’s Philarmonic, Portugals’s Gulbenkian, Bordeaux’s Philharmonic, Radio Telavisión Española, Paris’s Opera, I Solisti in New York, Euskadi’s symphonic, etc.

It has performed with soloists such as Aldo Baldin, Christa Ludwig, Thomas Moser, Rockwell Blake, William Matteuzzi, Dolora Zajick,… It has been conducted by Igor Stravinsky, Serge Baudo, Sylvain Cambreling, Marek Janowski, Kurt Wöss, Bruno Campanella, Ramson Wilson, David Parry, Jesús López Cobos, Josep Pons...

SCHOLA EASO: Está formada por una selección de voces de niños varones de la Escolanía Easo y de voces graves del Coro Easo, formaciones ambas con una extensa y contrastada trayectoria que se aúnan en la Schola Easo para trabajar repertorios específicamente pensados para este tipo de formaciones.

Comenzó su andadura con la interpretación  de la misa “Sancti Joannes de Deo” de J. Haydn en el Auditorio Amaya de Irún, junto con la Orquesta de la Fundación de Irún y el maestro Juan José Mena. Ha participado en numerosas ediciones de la Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, tomando parte en sus ciclos de Música Antigua, Música Contemporánea y Jornadas Inaugurales e interpretado obras como la “Misa San Mames” de F. Escudero, la “Missa Pro Defunctis” de P. Donostia, “Corales” de J.S. Bach, “Villancicos” del Padre A. Soler... Así mismo ha estrenado obras de Francisco Escudero, Tomás Aragües y Lorenzo Ondarra. Dentro del campo de la música antigua ha participado en el Ciclo: “Música de los Siglos de Oro en España”dentro del XVI Festival de Musique Ancienne de Lanvellec, Bretaña,  con la misa “O Quam Gloriosum est Regnum” de T.L. Victoria.

Cabe destacar, como actuación relevante, la intervención junto con Uri Cane en la 35 Edición del Festival Internacional  de Jazz de San Sebastián interpretando un programa jazz inspirado en  las “Variaciones Golberg” de J.S. Bach.

Ha actuado en: el Auditorio Kursaal y en el Teatro Victoria Eugenia de San Sebastián, Teatro Arriaga y Sala de Conciertos de la Sociedad Filarmónica de Bilbao, Teatro Bretón de Logroño entre otros; colaborando con las agrupaciones: Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi, Orquesta de Cámara Jesús Guridi de Vitoria, Orquesta Luis Mariano de Irún, Spanish Brass luur-Metalls, y con los maestros José Manuel Azkue, Oscar Candendo, Juan José Ocón,  José Antonio Pascual, Aldo Salvagno y Juan José Mena

La Schola Easo ha grabado 3 CDs en los que interpreta  obras de J. Haydn, Padre A. Soler, Herbert, así como repertorio tradicional vasco.

CHILDREN' S RELIGIOUS CHOIR: The Coro Easo Escolania, created in 1992, is an assotiation compossed exclusively by voices of male children. They hace participated in the festivals of: Vive Voix of Burdeoux, International of Santander, Camino de Santiago, Lanvellec, Sacred Art of Paris (Notre Dame), Fêtes Musicales of Biarritz, The Musical Fortnight of San Sebastian and many others.

 

At the same time, they have made cooperations with Alla Francesca (Llivre Vermell de Montserrat) and Discantus (XII and XIII Centuries Notre Dame School music), recorded by Opus 111 in the Eya Pueri CD. Obtined these califications, Goldberg Five Stars, and Choc Le Monde de la Musique, and eulogistic critics from Scherzo, Gramophone, Diapason, Fanfare... magazines.

The Versatility of the chorus gives the chance to try all kind of repertories, taking part in Carmen, The Magic Flute, La Bohème etc. Operas. With Denyce Graves, Daniel Galvez-Vallejo, Kurt Streit, René pape, Roberto Scandiuzzi, Mirella Freni, Nicolai Ghiaurov, Dwayne Croft, Carlos Alvarez, Antonello Alemandi, David Perry, Ralf Wiekert and the Symphonic orchestras of Basque Country, Seville, Bilbao...

A good sample of the big range of registers that the Escolania has, is the concert offered with Uri Cane in the XXXV International Jazz Festival of San Sebastian, performing the Goldberg Variations. Also, the participation in the Original Soundtrack of the film Nos miran.

THE GREGORIAN CHAPEL CHOIR: This choir was founded in 1995 by specialists on Gregorian chant with an extensive experience in seminary and convents choirs, where Gregorian chant was the liturgical music par excellence..

Every year they perfect and update their technique under the supervision of D. Saunier during their stay at Solesmes Abbey. They have performed in Paris, the San Sebastian Musical Fortnight, Jaca Festival, Yuste Monastery...
